T-WING project at Clean Aviation Forum 2023 Bruxelles
During the Clean Aviation Forum 2023, CIRA intervened, as Coordinator of the T-WING project, to present the innovative technologies developed within the main European research program in the aeronautics sector Clean Sky 2 aimed at developing the wing of the Next Generation Civil Tilt Rotor Technology Demonstrator, of Leonardo Helicopter Division.
The Consortium formed by CIRA, MAGROUP, OMI, MARE GROUP, IBK-INNOVATION and UNINA is one step away from delivering the wing, in fact, after the development and manufacturing phase it is completing the testing phase which will lead to the Permit to Flight.
Mare Group was involved in the development of crash and ditching analyzes, structural optimization to size the wing configuration and «weight saving» solutions in compliance with all functional and mass balance requirements.

The 5 years of intense work represented an important opportunity to participate in the exchange of information between the leaders of the aerospace sector and acquire an increase in knowledge and competitiveness, fundamental resources for achieving successful results.
