3AF, the French Aerospace Company, with the support of Clean Sky, presents Towards Sustainable Aviation, an international summit, to be held from 18 to 20 October 2022 in Toulouse, France.

This conference will address both aircraft design and operational perspectives to prepare and shape a more efficient global Air Transport System with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 for the aviation ecosystem.

The topics of the conference can be summarized in 4 themes:

• ECO-DESIGN AIRCRAFT
• OPERATIONS
• NEW INDUSTRY SET-UP

• ENERGY AND PROPULSION

Ultra-efficient aircraft, hybrid-electric concepts and hydrogen-powered aircraft will be at the heart of the program.

A more eco-efficient aircraft is of significant value in improving the environmental footprint. To enable this, the aircraft design must allow to drastically reduce operating costs, cost of ownership, to be sustainable and competitive compared to other alternative transport and at the same time increase revenues through cabin services and better operation of the aircraft.

Finally, some emerging technologies or approaches will be promoted such as Artificial Intelligence and the digital transformation of the sector, including the intensive use of big data with new business models as key factors to achieve the goals of a more global air transport system. Efficient.
