European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) International Conference in Thessaloniki

Yesterday, October 8th, Mario Graziano, Product Engineering Manager at Mare Group, presented the study “T-WING: Next Generation Civil Tiltrotor High-Fidelity Full-Scale Crash Simulation” at the 14th EASN – European Aeronautics Science Network International Conference in Thessaloniki, during the afternoon session “Aerostructures – Contribution to Clean Sky 2 FRC NGCTR IADP”. In addition to supporting the aircraft’s flight permit by meeting the crashworthiness requirements specific to tiltrotors, in line with the objectives of the T-WING consortium, the study highlights the significant role of advanced modelling and simulation methodologies in aerospace engineering. These approaches provide a solid foundation for accurate predictions regarding the structural safety of next-generation aircraft. The T-WING project is coordinated by CIRA – the Italian Aerospace Research Centre – and involves, in addition to Mare Group, the following partners: MAGROUP, OMI – Officine Meccaniche Irpine, IBK-Innovation GmbH & Co. KG, and the University of Naples Federico II (UniNa).
