La SIA, a division of Mare Group, is recruiting an Energy Engineer for the Engineering area, based in Rome.
La SIA, a division of Mare Group S.p.A., provides integrated engineering design services throughout Italy.
Its activities cover public and private building engineering, industrial engineering, telecommunications and infrastructure.
For its Rome office, the division is looking for a professional interested in working in the renewable energy sector, with a practical approach, accuracy in handling design documents and a desire to grow within a group that follows complex projects, from the initial phase through permitting to construction.
This professional will contribute to preliminary, final and detailed design, to the preparation of drawings and technical reports, and to the management of the documentation needed to develop the projects.
Activities:
- Support in the design of photovoltaic, agrivoltaic and BESS systems.
- Preparation and updating of drawings, technical reports, plans and project documentation.
- Development of the documents for civil works, internal roads, cable ducts, connection infrastructure and ancillary works.
- Preparation of bills of quantities with cost estimates, specifications and analyses of materials, supplies and works.
- Support in preparing the documentation for environmental, landscape and planning permits and for grid connection.
Requirements:
- Technical high-school diploma or degree in technical disciplines, such as engineering, architecture or equivalent programmes.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite, Excel in particular.
- Ability to work on design documents and technical documentation.
- Accuracy, organisational skills and attention to deadlines.
- Aptitude for teamwork and ability to manage several activities in parallel.
Experience or knowledge in the following areas will be considered a plus:
- Design and development of photovoltaic, agrivoltaic or BESS plants.
- QGIS or ArcGIS and document management tools.
- Bills of quantities with cost estimates.
- Permitting procedures, environmental and landscape constraints, connection to the electricity grid and relations with the competent authorities.
- Drafting of environmental reports, decommissioning plans, documentation for excavated earth and rocks and other technical documents related to renewable energy (FER) plants.

Contract type and pay:
Option A: Joining the staff (employment), full-time
- National collective agreement: CCNL Studi Professionali
- Salary range (gross annual salary, RAL): from €26,000 to €30,000 gross per year (based on experience and skills).
- Benefits: meal vouchers, Cadiprof health insurance, laptop.
Option B: Ongoing collaboration (VAT number / freelance professional)
- Contract: professional collaboration (annual, renewable).
- Fee range: from €2,100.00 to €3,000.00 + social security contribution (Inarcassa 4%) per month.
The higher fee range is granted to professionals with proven greater experience and autonomy.
