Mare Group is recruiting a Solutions Architect Specialist for the Pre-sales area, based in Salerno.
Position description
We are looking for a professional to join the pre-sales area who will design and define the architecture of IT systems, the choice of technologies, hardware and software components, interconnections, communication protocols and interfaces to be used to develop tailored solutions and projects and to accompany customers in their digital transformation processes.
They will take an active part in developing projects, acting as system architect through the architectural design of the solution and of the distributed services, managing project governance in the pre-sales phase and identifying the best practices and methodological criteria to support the offer of services and solutions to customers.
They will coordinate the team in monitoring new developments in the technology partners' offerings, and in scouting and selecting technologies and products in areas of competence such as infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, application development.
The selected candidate may also support the teams working on industrial research and experimental projects or on participation in tenders (e.g. support in producing feasibility/final/detailed technical designs and in drafting contractual technical documentation).
The main activities will be:
- System requirements analysis: working with stakeholders to define and understand the system requirements.
- Choice of technologies: Identifying solutions and defining technical specifications, taking part in the solution design and delivery phases and paying attention to product innovation and to architectural and security needs. Selects the most suitable technologies for building the system.
- Definition of architectural patterns: defining the architectural patterns to be used in designing the system.
Contract type
Full Time, and based on curricular activities.
Expected grade (gross annual salary, RAL)
€33,000/€35,000
Candidates with the following characteristics
Some of the required skills
- Technical knowledge of operating systems and how they work.
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies.
- Knowledge of networking technologies, such as TCP/IP, routing protocols and firewalls.
- Knowledge of security systems, such as authentication, authorisation and encryption.
- Knowledge of industry standards and protocols, such as ISO, ITIL, PMBOK, TOGAF, which will make it possible to define and implement technical solutions.
- Knowledge of programming languages.
- Knowledge of databases, web and cloud applications and emerging technologies.
- Ability to analyse technical problems and define a strategy to solve them.
- Knowledge of System Integration and Business Process Management tools.
- Knowledge of Cloud infrastructures and technologies.
Previous work experience
- Previous experience of at least 3 years.
- Experience in managing IT projects in complex domains and in coordinating the activities related to the analysis, design, implementation and release of systems.
- Agile methods and techniques related to Project Management principles such as Prince2, Scrum, etc.
Preferred qualifications
Languages: English - spoken and written.
Education
Degree in a technical/IT/engineering field.
