Mare Group agrees to sell Workgroup to Metriks AI

Mare Group has signed a binding agreement to sell its subsidiary Workgroup to Metriks AI, valuing the company at €20 million. At the same time, Mare Group will become a shareholder in Metriks AI through a convertible bond mechanism that links returns to future performance.

The transaction marks another step in the strategic path launched at the end of 2025, when Mare Group acquired control of Workgroup, and further sharpens the company’s focus by consolidating its cross-sector digital transformation offering. Antonio Torino will continue to lead Workgroup and will join the Board of Directors of Metriks AI.

Antonio Maria Zinno, CEO of Mare Group, commented: “Workgroup needs an environment where software and Artificial Intelligence are the main drivers, and Metriks AI provides that environment. […] Mare Group will continue to support the project through its next phase of development by becoming a shareholder in Metriks AI and retaining exposure to the value that Workgroup will contribute to creating.”

Antonio Torino, CEO of Workgroup, commented: “Joining the Metriks AI project will help us accelerate our innovation roadmap, expand our target market and further speed up the development of our software platforms. I will continue to lead Workgroup with the same team and entrepreneurial vision […] while actively contributing to the industrial development of Metriks AI.”

The resources released through the transaction will support Mare Group’s proprietary technology platforms and its programmes across Aerospace & Defence, Industry and Infrastructures.
