( development of fire protection based on graphene sheets )

The project is part of the Campania Regional Call POR-FESR 2014-2020; the aim of this project is the development of innovative graphene-based composite materials, integrating them with carbon fiber composite components to increase heat exchange and fire resistance (without altering the weight). CFRPs have advantages (mass-strength ratio) and disadvantages (decrease in resistance at high temperatures); this project has the purpose of developing graphene-based thermal protections that improve the resistance to high temperatures of carbon and non-carbon fiber composites.
