Morfeo
The project activities are aimed at the engineering and industrialization of a monitoring system designed to control surface layers on slopes susceptible to generating weather-induced landslides.
The software solution of the MORFEO system consists of a set of components for the collection, processing, interpretation and display of the data coming from the sensors mounted on the inclino-tensiometric units which make up the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The software archives the data in a database, and generates alarms if certain conditions occur.
The main objective of the MORFEO software is to make available useful information for emergency management in the pre-event and alert phases. The software system operates through four main components: Morfeo Data Collector (MDC) installed on the centralizing computer that collects the data detected by the WSN; Morfeo Integration Service (MIS) that receives the data from the MDC, stores them in a database and possibly interacts with an Alarm Manager (AM) that manages the life cycle of the alarms; Morfeo Web (MW), whose purpose is to interact with the operators for the visualization of the data.
