The project aims to define and implement an open, modular and scalable information platform capable of satisfying the primary needs of the elderly and chronically ill and oncological patients, in terms of medical care and health care, starting from the patient’s needs analyzed with a holistic and non-specialist approach made possible by the technologies of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and the Internet of Medical Things (based on bio and smart sensors) as mature technologies that can enable new and more effective forms of assistance. The purpose of the I-CARE.ME platform is not limited to the simple control and continuous monitoring of the patient but supports the patient himself and his family members in the assistance process through suggestions and advice via smart TVs, mobile devices and domestic robots capable of recognizing requests and interact accordingly.
