(BIM-based platform for real-time anomaly detection through AI on energy-intensive systems in data centers)
The BI-MADE project develops an ICT platform based on BIM, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence to monitor data center energy consumption in real time and detect anomalies in energy-intensive systems. The goal is to support preventive and predictive maintenance processes, improving energy efficiency, operational safety, and the environmental sustainability of IT assets.
The platform integrates data from sensors and wireless networks with BIM models and AI algorithms, enabling the analysis of energy performance, the detection of inefficiencies, and timely interventions on heating, lighting, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
The project is part of the energy transition framework and addresses the need to reduce the environmental impact of data centers, which are highly energy-intensive infrastructures. BI-MADE also includes platform validation on a case study, with the aim of verifying the effectiveness of the system in an existing data center.
