Modern

The MODERN Project has as its main objective to introduce in companies new methodologies and models useful to consistently support process innovation and capable of leading to the simplification of service provision, both towards internal actors and towards external actors according to the Enterprise 2.0 paradigm. The objective is to define architectural solutions enabling the execution and reconfiguration of user-centric processes, methodologies and techniques for knowledge sharing and collaboration in the Open Enterprise and prototypes of the defined architectural solutions.

The project, which has a strong Industrial Research connotation, will address a series of issues such as the definition, orchestration and delivery of services, user-oriented access and composition of services, knowledge representation and organization, “social” patterns for user interaction and knowledge sharing, the reconfigurability of user-centric processes.

All the research topics addressed will be aimed at modeling new architectural solutions that give concreteness and homogeneity to the paradigm, principles, tools and technologies that are commonly included in the “melting pot” referred to as Enterprise 2.0. These solutions will flow into the definition of an Adaptive Enterprise Architecture model that will take into account, in an integrated manner, also the emerging needs related to Social Network & Community and the Semantic Web, creating an Extended Adaptive Enterprise Architecture.
