Mare Group partners in new European project for hydrogen in aerospace & defense

The European Commission has approved CRYOSTAR, an ambitious research project focused on the design of innovative cryogenic tanks for liquid hydrogen in new-generation aircraft.

Mare Group participates as an industrial partner, contributing to the development and validation of structural solutions for tank safety and integration.

The research action, with a total value of over 5 million euros, brings together 13 entities including universities, research organizations and companies from 6 European countries, with the aim of setting new standards of safety and sustainability in the aerospace sector.

In addition to Mare Group, the Italian partners are: Luigi Vanvitelli University of Campania, Aero Sekur SpA, Airizon Srl, Dream Innovation Srl, Novotech Aerospace Advanced Technology Srl.

The international component of the partnership is represented by: Cranfield University (UK), IBK-Innovation GmbH & Co. KG (DE), Siec Badawcza Lukasiewicz-Instytut Lotnictwa [ILOT] (PL), Sintef Energi AS (NO), Technische Universiteit Delft and Stichting Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum [NLR] and Fokker Next Gen NV (NL).
