SCOPE

Healthcare

The project aims to develop a Clinical Decision Support System to assist the care, management and active monitoring of patients with Parkinson’s disease, for precision medicine. The system is characterized by the use of advanced data analysis tools, using the potential of Artificial Intelligence, following the Health Knowledge Management paradigm. The general objectives of the project include:
  • patient care and automatic classification of the health status of Parkinson’s patients, using universal classification indicators/scales
  • characterization of a metabolic profile of patients with Parkinson’s disease
  • personalization of healthcare route and/or follow-up plans (clinical and rehabilitative) based on predictive data analysis models
  • active monitoring of patients during the progression of the disease, using specific “biomarkers” (e.g., ICF, metabolic signature)
The aim is to improve care/therapies and the de-hospitalization path, favoring the return of patients to their “living environment”, with consequent cost savings for the NHS. The aim is also to improve the LEA (level Of Assistance) and, ultimately, to improve the patient’s quality of life.
